About the Owner

A native of Kansas, Shauna Huntington obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baker University. 

Shauna began her accounting career with KPMG, LLP, in Dallas, TX and later in Kansas City.  KPMG is an international CPA firm where Shauna worked with national and international clients including Hallmark Cards, H&R Block, Brinker International, Lennox and others.  While with KPMG, Shauna obtained her license as a Certified Public Accountant.

Following her work with KPMG, Shauna went to work as the controller for Favorite Healthcare Staffing.  Favorite is the largest privately-held healthcare staffing company in the U.S.  As the Controller, Shauna gained experience in federal and multi-state payroll tax compliance, corporate financial reporting and income taxes, 401k and other benefit compliance, and investment analysis.

Shauna started Huntington Small Business Solutions after seeing the struggle that many hopeful entrepreneurs go through during the start-up phase of their business.  Often, this struggle results in failure, as the burden becomes too heavy for the small operation to bear.  Shauna combined her passion for helping people with her technical skills as a CPA and entrepreneur to create Huntington Small Business Solutions.   

Shauna has over 10 years of experience in small business operations and accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Kansas Society of CPAs.  Shauna is also a Certified Workplace Trainer for the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace at Work program.
